The Future is Now Initiative's 2024 Proposed Events:

1: Have speakers come in to speak on the importance of self care. You’ll meet Gloria Jennings on Thursday. She can speak on eye care. 2: Ask around to find a hair stylist that would speak on healthy hair, suggests easy hairstyles and products that are affordable . 3: A manicurist can discuss importance of finger and toenail care. 4: My cousin Phyllis is a genealogist . She could speak on that subject for those that are interested but didn’t know how to get information on their ancestors. They can share the information with their grandchildren. You’ll meet her on Thursday. 5: Maybe you can find volunteers to provide child care during the sessions to give the grandparents time to relax and enjoy themselves. 6: You may want to have some sessions that would include the children. Grandparents and grandchildren can work on projects together. 7:If you know someone that sells Mary Kay that would speak to the importance of skincare .They may even have samples to give away. 8: Someone to speak on nutrition with ideas for healthy meals that kids would enjoy.
